60 but they found none, ^athough many false witnesses came forward. At last ^btwo came forward 61 and said, “This man said, ^c‘I am able to ^ddestroy the temple of God, and to rebuild it in three days.’” 62 And the high priest stood up and said, “Have you no answer to make? What is it that these men testify against you?” ^{▼▼Or Have you no answer to what these men testify against you?} 63 ^fBut Jesus remained silent. ^gAnd the high priest said to him, ^h“I adjure you by ⁱthe living God, ^jtell us if you are ^kthe Christ, ^lthe Son of God.” 64 Jesus said to him, ^m“You have said so. But I tell you, from now on ⁿyou will see the Son of Man ^oseated at the right hand of Power and ^pcoming on the clouds of heaven.” 65 Then the high priest ^qtore his robes and said, ^r“He has uttered blasphemy. What further witnesses do we need? You have now heard his blasphemy. 66 What is your judgment?” They answered, ^s“He deserves death.”
